About Us

WORSHIP

This is usually according to the Book of Common Prayer of the Church of Ireland (2004), and is in modern language. Our main service is 'Morning Prayer' and each parish has Holy Communion once a month. Anyone who is a regular communicant in their own church tradition is welcome to receive the Sacrament in our churches.

St Matthew's, Drimoleague, has a small Sunday School group which meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays.
St Mary's has a '1st Sunday Service' - Service of the Word; a more informal service with congregational participation.

FANLOBBUS UNION JOINT SERVICES: these are held every fifth Sunday, in rotation, around the parishes.  Also, on special days when circumstances demand. Here are the projected Joint Services across the Union for the next few months:

 29th April - St Mary's, Dunmanway
29th July - Christ Church, Drinagh

SAFEGUARDING TRUST: we conform to the Child Protection policies of the Church of Ireland which observes 'Safeguarding Trust' procedures. These are designed to ensure that those who work with vulnerable adults and children under the age of 18 are adequately and safely provided for. This involves the use of Parish Panel interviews for new workers and Garda vetting.
